- Advocacy Our schools deserve a strong voice fighting for them both here in Kent and in Columbus. In the last state budget, politicians cut 400 million dollars from public education while giving a 600 million dollar handout to a billionaire for a stadium. That is unacceptable. I will advocate for Kent’s students, teachers, and families and demand fair funding so local taxpayers are not forced to make up the difference for the state’s neglect of public education.
- Safety Every student deserves a safe and supportive environment to learn and grow. Safety is more than locked doors; it is about protecting the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of every student and staff member. From ensuring classrooms are secure to improving school lunches, I will work to create schools where students, teachers, and staff can focus on learning in an environment that helps them thrive.
- Transparency Kent Schools belong to the community, and the community deserves to be informed and involved. I will work to ensure the board engages in open and honest discussions and makes information accessible to families. Transparency means being visible, accountable, and active within our schools and neighborhoods, not only during meetings but in every part of our community life.
