P. Jaime Rosso

P. Jaime Rosso is an at-large member of the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education in California. He previously served the board from 2000 to 2008, but he lost the general election in 2008. He returned to the board after winning an at-large seat in the general election on November 2, 2010.[1][2]
Rosso faced three fellow incumbents and two challengers in his bid for re-election to one of four at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[3] P. Jaime Rosso won the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Rosso has been the president and CEO of Rosso's Furniture for over 36 years. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University.[4] Rosso completed the master's in governance program through the California School Boards Association in 2005. Born in Oceanside, California, Rosso has lived in Gilroy since 1975. He and his wife, a retired public school teacher, have three children, all of whom attended school in the Gilroy Unified School District. Two of their six grandchildren also attend school in the district.[5]
Elections
2014
Four at-large seats on the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Dom Payne, Patricia Midtgaard, Tom Bundros and P. Jaime Rosso ran against challengers Heather Bass and Linda Piceno. Rosso and Midtgaard won their bids for re-election, but Payne and Bundros were defeated by Piceno and Bass.

Funding
Rosso reported $250.00 in contributions to the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters as of September 30, 2014.[6]
Endorsements
Rosso received endorsements from the Santa Clara County Democratic Party, the South County Democratic Club and the community organization Evolve. He also received endorsements from several local officials, community leaders and school board members, including Gilroy Unified Board of Education members Mark Good, James Pace and Fred Tovar.[5][7][8] A list of his supporters can be found here.
