P. Thomas Thornbrugh was a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He was appointed to the court in September 2, 2011, by Gov. Mary Fallin (R).[1] He was retained by voters in 2012 and 2016.[2] Thornburgh retired on April 1, 2021.[3]

Education

Thornbrugh earned his undergraduate degree from Emporia State University and his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law.[1]

Career

Thornbrugh formerly served Oklahoma as a district court judge for Tulsa County from 1997 until 2011. The court is located in District 14.[4] He also served as prosecuting attorney for the city of Bixby and as a municipal court judge for the city of Tulsa. Thornbrugh also served as a legislative advisor for U.S. Senator Dewey Bartlett.[1]
