A Palm Bay City Direct Democracy Amendment question was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Brevard County, which is in Florida, where it was approved.
This question amended Section 3.09 of the city charter to alter procedures and requirements for certain direct democracy features. These changes will make the process more realistic and up to date.[1]

“ | Shall Section 3.09 of the City Charter be revised to include placement of a charter amendment, adoption or repeal of an ordinance on the ballot of a special election and follow relative agencies’ requirements; revise the time frame in Subsection 3.091 for the commencement of the petitioning process and Subsection 3.095 for submission of the petition issues to the electorate to provide sufficient time for placement on the ballot of a regular or special election?[1][2] | ” |
