Economist & Trump Conservative

  • Stop illegal immigration & Sanctuary cities

Economist Milton Friedman, he was quite an intellectual warrior for free markets. Always admired him and his works. As an economist, I hope to finish a textbook I'm completing - in his honor!
"Who Built That," a book by Michelle Malkin and "From Mutual Aid to the Welfare State," a book by David Beito are good places to start.
New Hampshire officials should follow the U.S. and New Hampshire Constitutions, and act to protect our individual freedoms, and should only fund the provision of essential public services (e.g. law enforcement and courts, roads/transportation, education, protection of the NH environment). I am a Trump Conservative who believes we should only pass laws and budgets which put American citizens "first," and permit Granite Staters to keep the money THEY earned.
As an economist, I love policy debates and researching major social issues - the economy, poverty, crime, education. Facts and historical data can help disagreeing people to unite, and agree on the best direction to take to solve problems.
Officials should listen to local voters and learn their priorities, and provide assistance when they have questions or problems navigating our NH state agencies.
I have enjoyed educating over 20,000 college students as an economics professor. Over 40 years, that has been my greatest accomplishment and very rewarding.
Living in Lexington Mass as a 7 YO - enjoyed the Minute Man Patriots Day parade & my tri-cornered Hat!
Burger King! Worked there for a summer.
The Little Ice Age, by Brian Fagan. A history book that demonstrates Earth's "climate" has been changing constantly - for thousands of years. Plus, it's a great read!
Probably Peter Pan, because I've always wanted to fly around - like a bird!

Hold On, I'm Comin'!
Several relatives have faced serious health challenges, including my late husband. My philosophy in staying positive has always been to recognize that "Every family has some burden!" and ours is no different, so manage things with love and grace.
They should work collegially, and assess all budget decisions based on their impact on the household finances of New Hampshire Taxpayers.
Affordable housing and energy costs, and the overall cost of living are major concerns to be addressed in 2025. Medical care and insurance costs are another challenge that need immediate attention. We have a nurses shortage in NH which must be remedied. Rising property taxes (despite declining school enrollments) are also a serious concern and the House should address this burden and provide relief.
Experience as a town Select board or School board member is very helpful, along with private-sector business experience.
Open dialogue and listening is important. Finding points of agreement helps a diverse group produce successfully-amended bills and budgets.
State Senator Bill Gannon, State Senator Regina Birdsell, State Rep Ken Weyler, State Rep Mark Pearson, State Rep Lilli Walsh and State Rep Glenn Cordelli have impressed me.
While on School board, I heard a heart-wrenching story from a parent about the loss of a child due to an unintended drug overdose. New Hampshire needs to keep its Northern border CLOSED to illegal drug trafficking, human trafficking and other foreign threats, and more needs to be done to inform young people of the dangers of fentanyl and other street drugs.
I'm more into memes, lately!
N.H. Constitution enumerates our legislative powers and should be followed.
Universal School Choice (Education Freedom Accounts)
House Education Committee
Respect for the "Right To Know" is important to maintain public support for state projects and programs. If a constituent wants information on a particular expenditure or funding source, State Reps should always be responsive and provide detailed information.
Once stronger election integrity reforms are passed, I'd reassess it.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in New Hampshire

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
