Biography
Banks earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. Her professional experience includes working as CEO of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle and public relations manager in the Department of Housing and Human Services.[1]

The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was May 15, 2015. All nine council seats were up for election.[2][3] In the District 3 race, incumbent Kshama Sawant and Pamela Banks advanced past Morgan Beach, Leon Carter and Rod Hearne in the primary election on August 4, 2015. Sawant defeated Banks in the general election.[4]
