Pamela Leeming (Republican Party) was a judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She left office in 2021.

Leeming ran for re-election for judge of the Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois. She won in the retention election on November 6, 2018.

Leeming was a judge for the Cook County Circuit Court in Cook County, Illinois. She was appointed to this position in October 2009, to replace Carol Pearce-McCarthy. She was elected to a full term in 2012. She retired from the court in 2021.

Leeming is of Pakistani descent and is believed to be the first Asian-American judge to preside over the full Cook County circuit.[1]

Biography

Leeming received her J.D. degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1989.[1] Leeming worked for the Cook County Public Defender's office prior to her judicial appointment in 2009.[1]

Leeming was elected without opposition on Nov. 6, 2012 to replace Victoria Stewart. She won the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, receiving 37.44% of the vote in the seven-way race.[2][3]
