Pamela Sutton was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Lee County Schools school board in North Carolina. Sutton was defeated in the at-large general election on November 8, 2016.

Four of the seven seats on the Lee County Schools school board were up for general election on November 8, 2016. Five Democrats and four Republicans filed for the at-large seats. A primary election was held for the Democratic candidates on March 15, 2016.

The seats of Tamara Brogan, Wendy Hughes Carlyle, Cameron Sharpe and Linda A. Smith were up for election. Brogan and four other Democrats filed for the seats. They were Ken Britton, Janice Oelrich Davis, Lynn Smith and Patrick Kelly. Ken Britton was eliminated in the primary, and the rest went on to compete for the seats in the general election. Four Republicans—Stephen Coble, Phillip Helms, Pamela Sutton and Sherry Womack—also vied for a spot on the board in the general. Two Democrats and two Republicans won the seats: Kelly, Smith, Coble, and Womack.[1][2]
