|I attended middle and high school in Redding, and went on to get a Bachelor's of Science in Forestry with an emphasis in Wildlife Management from UC Berkeley. I have a small business as a farrier specializing in barefoot horse trimming, as well as a skin care business oriented towards helping people with severe acne.
I care deeply about the people of the North State, and will represent YOU, and the environment we depend on for our livelihoods, not corporate interests bought with PAC campaign donations.
- I will represent my consituents in the North State, not corporations.
- I believe in decisions based on science, data, and compassion for humanity.
- I believe that our economic interests are one and the same as the interests of our natural environment, which we all depend on for our livelihoods and quality of life.
- Providing single payer healthcare to all Californians- Building crucial infrastructure projects including Internet access and improve dangerous rural roads and highways
- Increasing the number of healthcare facilities in our District
- Supporting programs to reduce fire danger and improve public safety and awareness
- Assisting our farming and tourism economies as they implement new strategies to adapt to the changing climate
- Providing affordable housing; no one should be homeless
- Fully funding education to include free college, trade schools, apprenticeship programs, invest in teachers and schools
I will always act ethically, and put people before corporate profits. I will listen to my constituents and prioritize their concerns. Many of our "representatives" appear to forget who they actually represent: the voters.
I think that too often among incumbents we see complacency and catering to donors' interests. Experience in analytical thinking, compromise and problem-solving can be gained in other arenas outside the state house. I have those skills and will bring a fresh eye to stalemates in Sacramento, along with a fire in my belly to stand up for what's right.
