My name is Param Brar, I'm a candidate for State Assembly from District 67. We need to revamp the current political system that is controlled by the corrupt establishment. We have enough puppets masquerading as politicians who clearly have not been the solution. We don't need any more politicians, we need public servants.

Politicians never admit their mistake and only say things that sound good, independent of honesty and truth. A politician's allegiance is to the ones who provide the money. The worst characteristic of a politician is that he/she does not objectively consider all sides of an issue.

A public servant will admit a mistake despite the political consequences because that is the only way to correct a mistake. A public servant will objectively listen to all sides of an issue. A public servant will always act in the best interest of the public, whether it is popular or not. Finally, a public servant does not act for glory, power, or money. A public servant acts only to serve the community.

The main purpose of our campaign is to open the door for more public servants to run for office and focus on real issues that affect all of our communities including expanding access to healthcare, education reform, preventing homelessness, and solving the housing crisis. This is how we will create long-term change and progress.

  • Healthcare for all! It is time, lets get it done. Healthcare is right and should be accessible by all Californians. Pharmaceutical and insurance companies continue to lobby that a single-payer system would be too costly and result in an increase in taxes. However, we would save billions of dollars annually in administrative costs alone. All developed nations have universal coverage except the US, it is time California lead the movement by covering all of its residents. California is the fifth most powerful economy in the world, there is no reason why we cannot implement a single-payer system. We would cover an additional 4 million Californians. It would provide economic growth to our state and more flexibility and mobility for our citizens.
  • Education reform to empower the youth! We need to reform our high school education immediately to include career pathway development courses and financial management courses. This is key, we need to setup our youth to succeed and big part of that is creating long-term plans and financial literacy. A short 1 minute video can be found on my website explaining this in detail.
  • Housing / Homelessness - More information and video on website
