Pat Longo was the national committeewoman of the Republican Party of Connecticut.[1]
Career
Education
Longo attended the NY School of Interior Design, graduating in 1964.[2]
Political activity
In 2007, Longo was elected to be the national committeewoman of the Republican Party of Connecticut. She retired in 2016 after the 2016 Republican National Convention. Leora Levy was elected at the 2016 Connecticut Republican State Convention to be Longo's replacement as the state's Republican national committeewoman.[3] Before her service as national committeewoman, Longo served as the vice chair of the Connecticut Republican State Central Committee from 1993 to 2007. From 1983 to 1993, she was a member of the Wilton, Connecticut, Republican Town Committee (RTC), and from 1985 to 1993, she served as its chair. She was a member of the Somerville, New Jersey, RTC from 1961 to 1963.[4]
Republican National Committee
Longo was active in the Republican National Committee for several years. In 1992, 1996, 2004, and 2008, she served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. In 2000, she was an alternate delegate, a "delegate [that] has all the rights and privileges of a delegate except voting."[5] She served on the RNC's Member Platform Committee in 1996 and 2000. She was a member of the Committee on Arrangements for the 2008 convention as well.[4]
