Pat Patterson
Pat Patterson is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 26 from 1999 to 2000 and 2002 to 2010. He served on the Volusia County Council from 1995 to 1998.
Biography
Patterson's professional experience includes working as a senior account agent with the Allstate Insurance Company and an elementary teacher. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973.
He is a member the American Legion Post 127, DeLand Lodge 1463 - Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Daytona Beach Association of Life Underwriters, DeLand Chamber of Commerce, Lake Winnemissett Civic Association, and the Orange City Chamber of Commerce.[1]

Issues
Patterson did not provide answers to the Florida State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test informs voters how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected.[2]

Patterson ran in the 2012 election for Florida State Senate District 8. Patterson is running against Dorothy Hukill in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Patterson won re-election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 26th District, defeating Barry Flynn (D). Patterson received 46,268 votes in the election while Flynn received 34,401 votes.[4] Patterson raised $198,703 for his campaign; Flynn raised $64,602.[5]
