Patrica Trumbull
Patricia V. Trumbull was the Chief Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, a position she has held since June 19, 2001.[1] She stepped down from the court in 2010.[2]
Education
Judge Trumbull obtained a B.A. degree from U.C. Davis in 1967, and then received a J.D. from Georgetown University in 1973.[3]
Career
From September 1973 to September 1975, Trumbull served as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Spencer Williams. In November of 1975, she became an Assistant Federal Public Defender. She was then appointed as a U.S. Magistrate Judge on April 20, 1987.[1][3]
