Patricia V. Grady is the judge for the 212th District Court in Texas. She was elected in 2014 for a term that began in January 2015 and will end in 2018.[1][2]

Education

Grady received her bachelor's and J.D. degrees from the University of Houston.[3]

Career

After graduating law school, Grady worked in private practice, at times with her sister, her husband and on her own. She became the legal liaison for the Galveston County judge in 2011, and was later appointed as a judicial referee.[3]

Grady ran for election to the 212th District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 35.2 percent of the vote. She competed against George Young, Bret Griffin and Keith A. Gross.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Grady faced Griffin in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. Grady won, earning 51.4% of the vote.
General: She won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014. [1][4]
