Patricia Hall Long is a judge for the Knox County General Sessions Court, Division III in Knox County, Tennessee. She is based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. She was appointed to this position by the Knox County Commission on September 22, 2008, to replace Bobby Ray McGee.[1][2][3] She was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on August 31, 2022.[4][5]

Education
Long received a B.A. degree in English from Rhodes College in Memphis and a J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville.[8]
Career
Long spent the first two years of her career as an assistant public defender for Knox County. She then worked for the law firm of Hagood, Tarpy and Cox for over thirteen years. From July 1, 2007, until she joined the Knox County General Sessions Court in September 2008, she served as an assistant Knox County district attorney general in the Misdemeanor Sessions Court.[8]
