Patricia is chairman of the board of directors at the Minnesota Chapter of the National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws (NORML) since 2017 and she is a volunteer with the Legal Marijuana Now Party since 2016.

Having been an emergency medical technician and coordinator, Patti is a veteran of fifteen years in the emergency trauma field. Patti has seen people dealing with the worst pain and she has become a strong advocate for patient rights. Candidate McArdell implores legislators to increase access to the medicinal cannabis program for trauma-related injuries

Originally from Woodbury Patti currently lives in St. Paul and is self-employed in the communications field.
  • Cannabis should be legally accessible
  • Legalize/decriminalize cannabis for responsible adult usage.
  • Make the Minnesota Medical Cannabis Program accessible to all who could benefit from it.
Social Justice. Cannabis

prohibition endangers public safety by fostering corruption, curtailing civil liberties, and perpetuating racism. The Legal Marijuana Now Party believes legalization would bring more jobs and money into the economy.

The expungement of cannabis related records, and the re-evaluation of CPS cases where children are taken from parents because of the use of cannabis.

The education of the general public on the actual effects and benefits of cannabis, in all it's forms.

To reveal the roots of prohibition, wound tightly in greed, racism and corruption.
The late Paul Wellstone, who said "We all do better, when we all do better"

Senator Bernie Sanders, who does not compromise his ethics, and has stood by those ethics for his entire political career.
Logic with compassion. Honesty. Empathy. The ability to remain teachable.
I would like to be remembered as someone who stood up for the people who were afraid to. Who stood by my convictions in the face of judgement and misinformed bias.

Who's concern has always been the wellbeing of others, since, as Paul Wellstone said... "We all do better, when we all do better."
I remember the first moon landing. I was 6. I remember sitting in front of our old black and white tv, while my mother ironed my father's work shirts.
My first job in high school was at Woodbury Health Care Center, as a CNA. I think it was about a year.
I've struggled to overcome physical issues, which have made me aware of what I can and can't do. To use the gifts I've been given, and the skills I've developed over the years, maybe not in quite the way I'd intended, but to be useful and effective nonetheless.
The re-evaluation of public policy, with respect to equality. The economic recovery from the COVID19 pandemic. The repair/preservation of the ecological assets of our state.
It's always beneficial to communicate with others who have come together to help guide the state forward through these uncertain times. In the best of all possible worlds, we'd all be on the same page.
I'm here to make sure that the legalization of cannabis is not forgotten in the midst of all the high priority issues. To ask for clear stances from other candidates, on legalization of cannabis. My goal is to find those who already understand, and educate those who don't.

At this point in time, this is the only political aspiration that I have.
