Patricia Kasprzak
Patricia Kasprzak was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 36th Congressional District of Texas.[1]
Biography
Kasprzak was raised in Nanuet, New York, but soon headed south to Harrisonburg, Virginia, to study at James Madison University. She earned her B.S. in political science in 1978.[2]
Following graduation from undergrad, Kasprzak immediately enrolled in law school at the Bates College of Law at the University of Houston. She earned her J.D. in 1981. She soon began her banking career with First City National Bank as an oil and gas administrator in the Trust Division.[2] Through the years, she was eventually promoted to vice president at the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in Houston, Texas.[3]
In 2003, Kasprzak transitioned to a career as a teacher. At the time of her candidacy, Kasprzak was teaching government at North Shore Senior High School in Galena Park ISD.[2]

Kasprzak listed the following issues on her campaign website:[4]
- Healthcare: "Obamacare must be repealed and /or defunded."
- Education: "It's time to eliminate the Department of Education."
- Energy: "Fracking continues to result in booming oil and gas production, economic opportunity and job growth in Texas. We cannot allow President Obama and his environmentalist donors to continue to hold the Keystone Pipeline hostage."

Kasprzak ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 36th District. Kasprzak was defeated by Brian Babin and Ben Streusand in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.[5]
