I believe all citizens should contribute to preserving the planet and curbside recycling is just one way the city of Chesapeake can help citizens to be active in this endeavor
I intend to work as a city council member to have curbside recycling reinstated. - Mental health is a strong determinant of overall health i and a healthy community is a productive community. Chesapeake currently does not have a single acute care bed for our citizens who need emergency admission for mental health crises, post-overdose treatment or medical detoxification for citizens who have chemical addictions. I will be working to ensure that these beds are available, in Chesapeake, to help this vulnerable population.
- As the property assessment increase at an appreciable rate, citizens are shouldering the financial burden by ever increasing property taxes. It is a significant burden to the citizens who are facing increasing monetary demands each day due to inflation. I will be working to reduce the property tax rate to lessen the hardships faced by the people of Chesapeake.
I am passionate about strong educational programs and academic excellence.
I am passionate about having high paying jobs and affordable housing for people who want to make Chesapeake home.
I will support, encourage and work diligently to ensure that our first responders, public safety personnel and educators are paid for the important jobs they do.
