St. Paul, Minnesota: Patricia Milun was appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton as Chief Judge of the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals on April 7, 2011. The former Workers' Compensation judge and attorney will replace Judge Miriam P. Rykken on the court and succeeds Judge Thomas L. Johnson as the Chief Judge. Judges of this court serve six-year terms.

Milun has dealt with worker's compensation law throughout her career, first as a workers' compensation trial attorney for the law firm of Larsen, Heck, Klimek & Powell and then for 18 years as a workers' compensation judge. As a judge, she served in the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, as Chief judge of the Settlement Division of the Workers’ Compensation Court, and as a worker's compensation and administrative law judge for the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.[1]
