Patricia T. Morris

Patricia T. Morris is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She was appointed to an eight-year term on April 24, 2014, and reappointed for a second term effective April 24, 2022. Her current term will expire on April 23, 2030.[1][2]

Education

Morris earned her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan and her J.D. from Cooley Law School.[1]

Professional career

Patricia T. Morris' law career started as a law clerk for Judge Paul J. Clulo of the 42nd Circuit Court, Michigan and for Judge Robert Cleland of the Eastern District of Michigan. After clerking, she taught law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and Central Michigan University. At the time of her appointment to be federal magistrate judge she was a clerk for Magistrate Judge Charles Binder.[1]

On April 24, 2014, Patricia T. Morris was appointed by Chief Judge Gerald Rosen to replace the retiring Charles Binder. Her current term will expire on April 23, 2030.[1]
