Biography
Patrick Amaral is a resident of Edison Township, New Jersey. Amaral earned a B.S. degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. He owns and operates a security agency business and he also serves as the president of a board for a nonprofit training school in the security industry.[1]

Patrick Amaral lost to incumbents Jingwei Shi and Frank Heelan and fellow newcomer Beth Moroney for the three at-large seats in the general election on April 23, 2014. Shi, Heelan and Shivi Prasad-Madhukar campaigned as one slate and Moroney, Kiel Thoms and Chang-Hui Shen campaigned as a separate "Team E3" slate.[2][3]
