Campaign website

Buffkin's campaign website stated the following:

  • Traffic

Growing traffic congestion is stealing our quality of life. Let’s spend more time with our families and less time in traffic. We need fresh ideas to transform our streetscapes to make them more friendly to pedestrians and people on bikes, and to reduce our commute times.

  • Managing Growth

63 people move to Wake County every day, and many of them come to call Raleigh home. We need a sense of urgency to investing in infrastructure so we are prepared to welcome our new neighbors.

  • Housing Affordability

Raleigh’s current future puts a safe, affordable home out of reach for hard working policemen, firefighters, and other workers who are a part of our community. We need bold action to protect the fabric of our community, the hard working folks that make Raleigh special.

  • City Budget

Our city budget is strong today. We need leaders who understand more than the good news - we need leaders with the vision to prepare for the challenges of the future and invest in our infrastructure.

  • Innovation

We need leaders that are open-minded, and ready to embrace change.[2]
