Patrick Corum

Patrick Corum is an appointee to the Third Judicial District Court in Utah. He was appointed by Gov. Gary Herbert (R) in October 2017 to fill one of the vacancies created by the retirement of Robert W. Adkins, Bruce C. Lubeck, and Ann Boyden. His appointment was confirmed by the Utah State Senate on November 15, 2017.[1][2]
Biography
Corum earned a B.S. in zoology from Oregon State University and a J.D. from the University of Utah College of Law.[1]
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Corum was a trial attorney and supervisor for the Salt Lake Legal Defenders Association. His experience includes work as the misdemeanor section chief and assistant director of the Salt Lake Legal Defenders Association and as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah College of Law. Corum has served as a participant in the Viaduct/Pioneer Park Legal Clinic, the chair of the Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Criminal Procedure, and a member of the AOC pretrial release and supervision committee.[1]
