  • Make Wisconsin Elections More Fair - Last year Wisconsin's maps were redrawn as part of redistricting which has cost its residents over $10 million and counting. What was produced for that incredibly high amount were some of the most gerrymandered maps in the country. Compare this with our neighbor Iowa who has been able to go through the same exercise for around $40,000. Iowa has also been able to reduce the cost for municipalities since they don't have to redraw districts again to match what the state legislature has redrawn. To do this I want to introduce an amendment to our state constitution to take politics out of the redistricting process and create maps that are fair for everyone along with getting money back to our cities and tow
  • Invest in Biogas - Wisconsin has always been "America's Dairyland" and that provides us with a unique opportunity. Investing in biogas will give our dairy farmers another revenue stream while helping reduce the energy cost of residents across the state. The viability of this has already been proven at UW Oshkosh where 9% o the campus’ energy is produced through a digester running solely on food waste and grass clippings.
  • Decriminalize Marijuana Possession - Currently it is costing us over $40,000 a year to house and feed a single individual in prison. I want to reduce how much we are spending to lock up non violent offenders (with a projected savings of over $55 million a year), help those who want to use marijuana for medical purposes, and allow the police to focus on violent offenders who are putting the lives of others at risk.
I'm passionate about constituent services, making sure that the community feels heard and have a voice. I will work tirelessly to communicate with anyone in the district who has concerns around our state government regardless of whether I agree with them. I’ll also make myself available to help remove any unnecessary obstacles that exist at the state level with the hope that I can make working with the state as painless as possible.
