I'm 21 years old. I'm currently attending UW-Madison to get a degree in political science. My main things I'm running on are youth involvement in government, legalization of marijuana and having politicians who will truly take into account what their constituents want.
  • Marijuana is a harmless drug that should be legalized for both medicinal and recreational use. It's legalization would provide a big boost to Wisconsin's economy and provide much needed relief for those with severe and chronic pain. In addition, it would be a step towards ending the blatantly racist war on drugs
  • Young people are the future of the country. They should be making the decisions about their future. I strongly support youth involvement in politics.
  • The minimum wage has to be increased to a living wage. People are barely able to survive on the current minimum wage, much less have any chance at following the American Dream. Minimum wage must be increased to at least 15 dollars an hour, adjusted for inflation each year.
Marijuana legalization, Healthcare reform, Education, minimum wage increase
The single most important thing any elected official can do is listen to and do what their constituents want. An elected official shouldn't do solely what he or she wants to do, they should do what is for the good of the people in their district.
I'm a practiced public speaker, I don't shy away from confrontation and I want to make the city I live in a better place.
The first major historical event that I can remember was the 2006 Wisconsin Gubernatorial election. I remember my kindergarten teacher showed us pictures of the two candidates and had us vote ahead of the election. I was five or six years old at the time.
I believe that experience is a very helpful thing to have, but I also believe in the value of new ideas. It is possible to have someone with years of experience eventually lose effectiveness, at which point it's important that someone come in with fresh ideas and make some changes.
They should work together to do what the people of their state want.
I want to be able to help the most amount of people that I can. Currently I think I can do that best by helping the people where I live, in district 76, but if I feel I can do more good in the world by running for a different office, I will.
