Patrick J. McGrath, NY

Patrick J. McGrath is a former justice for the Rensselaer County Supreme Court and the Columbia County Supreme Court in the 3rd Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the Rensselaer County Supreme Court in 2004 and his term expired in 2013.[1][2]
Education
McGrath received his B.A. from Manhattan College in 1975 and his J.D. from the Albany Law School of Union University in 1978.[1]
Career
McGrath began his career in 1978 as a chief clerk of the Albany County Surrogate's Court. He then worked as an assistant district attorney in Rensselaer County from 1980 to 1982. He served as a Troy Police Court judge in Rensselaer County from 1985 to 1994. He was elected to the Rensselaer County Supreme Court in 2004.[1]
Judicial admonition
The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct has admonished McGrath twice. In 2004 the Commission determined that McGrath made improper comments on television regarding a pending case, and in 2010 the Commission admonished him for unethical behavior during his 2008 election campaign.[3][4][5]
