Patrick J. Murphy was a 2014 judicial candidate for the Maricopa County Justice Courts in Arizona.[1] As an independent candidate he did not appear on the primary ballot but will run in the general election.

Murphy ran for election to the Maricopa County Justice Courts.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 11.8 percent of the vote. He competed against John McComish and Elizabeth Rogers. [1][2] 

Education

Murphy earned his undergraduate degree in criminal law from Western Illinois University. He attended graduate school at Arizona State University where he studied evidence law and legal studies. He also graduated from the University of Illinois Police Academy.[3]

Career

As of 2014, Murphy has 22 years of experience as a police officer. His experience includes six years as a patrol sergeant in addition to serving as a certified instructor in DWI detection and standardized field sobriety, a coordinator for an officer field training program, a recruit training officer at the Arizona Police Academy and as an internal affairs specialist.[3]
