Patrick Korell is a judge on the Eighth District Court in Wyoming. He was appointed by Governor Matt Mead (R) on September 8, 2015, to replace Keith G. Kautz, who was appointed to the Wyoming Supreme Court.[1]

Korell won a retention election on November 8, 2016.[2]

Korell received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming.[1] Korell was appointed to the Eighth District Court during his fifth term as the Goshen County prosecuting attorney. He became a county attorney in 1999. He previously worked as an attorney in private practice.[1]

Wyoming held retention elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. Judges up for election in 2016 had to file for retention races by May 27, 2016. Patrick Korell was retained in the Wyoming Eighth District Court (Korell Seat) election with 79.04 percent of the vote. [2]
