Patrick Maley is a former South Carolina Inspector General. He was the first permanent appointee to hold the office. Maley served in the role from June 2012 to February 2017, when he began working for the state Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.[1]

Prior to becoming Inspector General, Maley served in the FBI. He was the special agent in charge in Birmingham, Alabama, from 2009 until his appointment. Prior to that he was the assistant special agent in charge in Columbia, South Carolina.[2] Maley is also a licensed CPA and has worked for an international accounting firm.[3]

Maley is the first permanent South Carolina Inspector General. He served in this position from June 2012 to February 2017.[1]
