Patrick Sellers
Patrick Sellers (Democratic Party) is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 57. He assumed office on November 9, 2022. His current term ends on November 4, 2026.
Sellers (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 57. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Sellers was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 52 of the Alabama House of Representatives.
Biography
Patrick Sellers earned a bachelor's degree in theology from Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College in 2006, a master's degree in ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2007, a doctorate in ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary in 2008, and a bachelor's degree in religion from American Military University in 2021. Sellers' career experience includes working as the pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church and as an orthopedic first assistant. He served as the chief of staff to the president of the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention and the chairman of the Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority.[1]

The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent John W. Rogers, Jr. defeated Patrick Sellers in the Democratic primary. Phillip Bahakel was unopposed in the Republican primary. Rogers then defeated Bahakel in the general election.[2][3][4][5][6]
