Patrick Thompson is a judge for the Twenty-Eighth Judicial District in Kansas. Thompson was appointed by Governor Kathleen Sebelius to replace Judge Dan Boyer, who retired in December 2008.[1] He was sworn in on January 11, 2008. He was most recently retained in 2014 for a term that expired on January 13, 2019.[2]

Thompson was retained to District 28 with 72.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [2]

Thompson was retained with 75.6% of the vote in 2010.[3][4]

Education
Thompson received his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College and his J.D. from the University of Kansas in 1980.[5]
Career
Prior to his appointment him to the bench, Thompson was an attorney in private practice with the firms of Marietta, Kellogg, Price and Blevins Thompson. At one time he was also an assistant county attorney.[1]
