Patsy Koch Johns
Patsy Koch Johns was a member of the Nebraska State Board of Education, representing District 1. She assumed office in 2017. She left office on October 4, 2024.
Johns ran for re-election to the Nebraska State Board of Education to represent District 1. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
As of November 2017, Koch Johns was an English and drama teacher. Her first teaching job in Nebraska was at Cozad High School, where she worked from 1976 until joining Lincoln High School in 2000. She has been involved in the development of education standards, including the development of graduation requirements for Lincoln Public Schools and state and national fine arts curriculum standards. She has served on the board of the National Federation of High School Activities.[1]
