Terrell's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
“ |
Transparency I believe government should be transparent. There should never be a question about what is said or done by a representative when it comes to the people’s business. Education I support education because I know what a difference it made in my own life. Every generation should have an opportunity for a great public education. It helped me get out of poverty and it can do the same for others. It is our responsibility to provide education for the generations that come after us. Independent Judiciary Keeping the judiciary free of political influence is of paramount importance. Medicaid Expansion Kansas is one of a few states that has refused medicaid expansion. What medicaid expansion would do is make it possible to insure people who make too much money now to qualify for medicaid, but not enough to be able to buy insurance on the marketplace. This would help 150,000 of our fellow Kansans. It would also help our hospitals and nursing homes.[2] |

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
