Patti A. Christensen was a judge on the Florida 7th Circuit Court. She was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist on September 7, 2010 to replace Edward E. Hedstrom. She was re-elected in 2012 and 2018.[1][2][3]

Christensen retired from the court effective December 31, 2020.[4]

Education

Christensen received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from the University of Florida.[1]

Career

Christensen began her career in 1982 with the law firm of Kent, Watts and Durden. She then practiced with the firms of Coker, Meyers and Schickel (1986-87), Meredith, Dobson and Ready (1987-88), Dobson and Christensen (1988-95) and Christensen and Burk (1995-97). She worked as a sole practitioner from 1997 until 2000, when she became a judge of the St. Johns County Court. She served in that capacity until her appointment to the circuit court in 2010.[1]

2012 election

Christensen was unopposed and automatically re-elected following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5]
