Patti has spent her entire career in the natural resources industry, advancing solutions that balance jobs and environment while protecting rural communities throughout the Northwest. She is a lifelong resident of Washington, grew up in Mason County and graduated from Shelton High School. She worked in the forest products industry to maintain those vital rural jobs through the many environmental battles that have shaped the Northwest. At the same time, she was active in her community: She co-chaired a $16 million campaign to build the Shelton YMCA; organized Rotary OysterFest; led United Way, her church board and stewardship; worked in schools and economic development. She was named Shelton-Mason County Chamber Citizen of the Year for community service.
  • I want to put money back in the pockets of our hardworking citizens. It's time to cut the gas tax and the sales tax, and to scrub our government spending to create efficiency and accountability.
  • Public safety is the number one expectation from our taxpayers, yet property crime is soaring and people are worried about safe neighborhoods. I want to restore tools to our law enforcement officials so that they can serve and protect as they were sworn to do. At the same time, I want to build a cooordinated and efficient safety net of services to curb homelessness.
  • Many of our children missed a year and a half of school due to the pandemic, and the problem was compounded in our rural communities by insufficient broadband and other issues. Now they're suffering and some may never recover that loss of learning. We need a plan to get these students back up to speed. We need to put education back in the hands of local school boards and the communities that support them.
I am passionate about providing a voice for rural communities. Through my years of advocacy on behalf of the forest products industry, I have seen the negative result of one-sided policies, and I want to ensure the right stakeholders have a voice in shaping policies that affect them. I will listen, I will roll up my sleeves and I'll work hard to ensure balanced policy that protects our rural communities.
