I believe that uplifting women, workers, and families strengthens both our communities and economy. There is no litmus test for inclusion – all are welcome – and no one gets left behind. With my leadership, the power shifts back to the core of our communities, making sure everyone’s voice is heard.
  • People of color deserve to live without fear of prejudice and injustice. Women should have rights to reproductive healthcare and privacy.
  • Workers deserve equal benefits through collective bargaining and family support policies.
  • Children have the right to be protected from gun violence with common-sense gun laws.
Policies that support strong families and build strong communities through protecting basic freedoms and privacy for all citizens including women, common sense investments in such services as daycare and early childhood development, and accessible and affordable healthcare,. The empowerment of workers and small businesses by giving them the tools and regulatory constructs to thrive. Working towards a more just society for all constituents by addressing racial disparities in our criminal justice system.
The ability to listen to constituents in order to understand their needs. Transparency in the work an elected official does and the position he/she takes on issues. Being accessible and responsive to all constituents, not just those ideologically aligned. Honesty and integrity in all work, all the time.
I believe in public service and view myself in this role as a civil servant. This dovetails into my management philosophy which is one of servant leadership.
