Patti James is the Division 11, Subdistrict 6.2 judge on the Sixth Circuit in Arkansas. She was elected to this position on November 6, 2012. She was re-elected to the Sixth Circuit on May 20, 2014 for a term expiring in 2020.[1][2][3]

2012

James competed for the Sixth Circuit against Tjuana Byrd and John Hout in the May 22, 2012 election. James was the top vote-getter, receiving 42.30% of the vote. She then defeated John Hout in the runoff election on November 6, earning 63.17% of the vote.[4][5][1]

James received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and her J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.[6]

Career

James was an attorney in private practice before being elected to the bench.[6]
