Patti Jane Lay was a 2014 candidate for the Sixth Circuit Court, which presides over Knox County in Tennessee.[1]

Primary: She was defeated in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 49.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Greg McMillan.

Lay received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in 1976 and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1979.[3]

Lay has practiced law at her firm of the Law Offices of Patti Jane Lay since 1995.[3]
