Sheehan is from Cleveland, Ohio. She received a bachelor's degree in art from the University of Central Florida. She previously worked as an administrator at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. She has served as president of the Colonialtown North Neighborhood Association and founded and became chairperson of Wheels for Kids, which provides bicycles to students in Reeves Terrace public housing.[1]
