Paul A. Roetman is a judge of the Alaska Second District Superior Court. His current term ends in 2026.

Roetman was appointed in July 2010 by Governor Sean Parnell.[1][2] Roetman was retained on November 4, 2014, and in 2020.[3]

Roetman was retained to the Second District Superior Court with 71.5 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4] 

Education

Roetman received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Alaska and his J.D. from Regent University School of Law in Virginia.[1]

Career

Judge Roetman worked in the Anchorage district attorney's office beginning in September of 2001 and transferred to the Palmer district attorney's office December 2002. He worked there until transferring to the Kotzebue district attorney's office in 2005, then transferred back to the Palmer district attorney's office in late 2008. He remained with the Palmer office until his appointment to the bench on July 9, 2010.[5] Other positions previously held were: private practice attorney, legislative aide in the Alaska State Legislature, and the executive director of the Prince William Sound Economic Development Council.[1]
