I am self propelled individual with a determination to positively impact other people's lives given the opportunity. That was the reason I enlisted in the United States Army Reserve Unit at Camp Parks I also completed my NCO Training at Cam Parks Dublin California. I was and still continue to be an advocate for affordable Housing while attending San Francisco State University. I was also a beneficiary of several housing assistance programs during my college days. When I moved to the Valley about Twenty Years ago I brought my housing Advocacy with me. My first assignment as a Council Member is to serve on the City Council Board and over-see the New Development which is now known as River Islands Community in the City of Lathrop. The River Islands project afforded me the opportunity to work with various arms of the local and State including the Federal Governments and Army Corps of Engineers. Our City maintains a systematic growth without compromising the quality of lives of its citizens. As our City Grows so also are services requirements to both our businesses and residents. These community services include Police and Fire Services , The Idea behind these 2 by 2's engagement is to maintain a Community Policing Standards and Safety standards that are of mutual benefit to our Law Enforcement agencies and the community they serve. The City of Lathrop Prides herself in her Cultural Diversities from all over the world. I am very humble of the opportunity to serve the People.
Transportation Investment can really Catapult our AD 12 to an enviable Economic Power house. For now, everybody is focusing on the homeless situation which is a good thing . From experience living in Oakland and working the night shift it is not uncommon to rely on family and friends to get you to work especially when you are young or a student. You have to go to where the Jobs are and the failure of California not to invest in adequate and modern day Transportation like Rails, Water Ways and Airports had created a grid and Landlocked situation even for our Farmers. We are Agricultural community that is loosing money partly because the water ways are not prepared for Barges and the road is super congested for on time Deliverable s. Short distances Rails like the Valley Link can help to move people back and forth. It can streamlined our Educational Programs to help our student to move and go to school . Perhaps the greatest advantage is to the Business community. The Central Valley is one of the most Congested Highways in our state. There is no reason why the Big Tech Giants cannot locate satellite manufacturing Plants in the Valley. We have the Land but no infrastructure like Good Roads, Adequate Dredging of of our water ways and Major improvements to our Airports to handle cargo Plane with a modern day Automatic Landing System due to our Valley Environmental Condition. A short distance Rail will help to bring the Jobs here because Business will see profit in investing
Believe it or not I look up to God for guidance in all areas. I would love to follow the example of Jesus to the letter but I know I am not that strong. To serve others and lay down your life for others is not an easy lift and it is a lofty goal to have and emulate but difficult to achieve. But I would like to serve others in a positive way.
Integrity is a noble character for and Elected officials' Let your yeah be yeah and you no be no.' I know it is hard but when and elected officials maintains an integrity of his office. The ability to come on to the side of the people that elected him or her will not be easily compromised. If a mistake is made Integrity will compel the official to go back to the people and seek the opinion of community Leader not always possible but it has to be a Trait that is part of the Official Character.
Integrity, Boldness Transparency and Strength we have spoken a little on Integrity of Ones Character, can people trust you? Yes will be my answer. Are you bold enough to handle difficult situation or emergency situations , my answer is yes. Are you transparent enough to your constituents the answer is yes and do you have strength to carry out your assignments the answer is yes. The above were on my flyer when I was running for the city council position 2012. They are Character Traits which have define me as a Council Member, as Vice Mayor in the city of Lathrop. Unlike what we are seeing at the National Level where integrity is sold so cheaply that it can be bought in the open Market. People are no longer Bold enough to ask critical Questions because they are afraid to be transparent and their strength has faded away. Ass try daily to server the people am also mindful that the people that loves you today may not love you in the morning. Do you have the Boldness and strength to continue. That is the way of an Elected official's Character
There was A Civil war in Nigeria that as a 5 year old we all remember because we could not play outside anymore especially at Night. First time of seeing a soldier in uniform
My first paid job was a day laborer. All building blocks were hand made and when they are sun baked it was my job to to carry these bricks to to brick layers . You are paid about a $.25 per day. I did this on week-ends with my Friends an the money was used collectively to purchase a used soccer ball. after graduating I was a clerical staff for about two years.

The Assembly is where the initiative starts from. I mean the Senate could but the Assembly is closer to the People and easy to relate to than the Senate. Though things has change in California due to Term Limits. The state Assembly can give a sound foundation that will remain for a long time because of the amount of work that needs to be done.
Yes and No I believe if you have been a leader in the City either as Council Member or Mayor it gives you and edge in how to prepare for Agenda meetings and Navigating through Development Agreements and how to negotiate better. A new Legislator that is ready to learn and devote extra time to how a meeting is conducted and how to cross lines to achieve his agenda can thrive also. I but I will weigh in Experience from Local Govt as a plus
Housing Housing and more housing. If we do not address the issue now and put some rules in place to help the builders with incentives to build affordable houses. The State Infrastructure will collapse. Homelessness will increase , Mental Health will consume our resources and the jobs may be there but are people ready to work. They may not be in a mentally stable mind to work. It does not look too good for the State right now.
