Paul Battles
Paul Battles was a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 15. He was first elected to the chamber in 2008. He did not file for re-election in 2018.
Biography
At the time of his service in the legislature, Battles' professional experience included working as the county president of the Crescent Bank of Jasper and pastor of the Peoples Valley Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church.
Battles serves on the Joint Developmental Authority and Bartow County Developmental Authority.[1]

Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Dylan L. Patrick was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Paul R. Battles was unopposed in the Republican primary. Patrick was defeated by Battles in the general election.[7][8][9]

Battles ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 15. Battles ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Lelia Benham ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[10] Battles defeated Lelia Benham in the general election.[11]

Battles ran for re-election to the 15th District seat in 2010. He had no opponent in the general election. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.[12]

At the time of his service in the legislature, Battles was a member of the Georgia Highlands College Foundation Board of Trustees, North Metro Tech College Foundation Board of Trustees, and Bartow Rotary Club.[1]
