Paul Berry (Missouri)
Paul Berry (Republican Party) ran for election for Lieutenant Governor of Missouri. He lost in the Republican primary on August 6, 2024.
Berry was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 1st Congressional District of Missouri.[1] Berry was defeated by Steven Bailey in the Republican primary.[2]

Heading into the election, Ballotpedia rated this race as safely Democratic. Incumbent William Lacy Clay (D) defeated Steven Bailey (R) and Robb Cunningham (L) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Clay defeated Maria Chappelle-Nadal and Bill Haas in the Democratic primary, while Bailey defeated Paul Berry to win the Republican nomination. The primary elections took place on August 2, 2016. Clay won re-election in the November 8 election.[3][2][4]

Elections for the Missouri House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Mary Nichols was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Paul Berry was unopposed in the Republican primary. Nichols faced Berry in the general election.[5][6] Nichols defeated Berry in the general election, and was re-elected to another term.[7]
