I have lived my life doing what I could to help others. I volunteered and enlisted in the military right out of high school. I spent 21 years standing my post, protecting my community, my nation, and her citizens. Serving mostly in Europe and the Middle East, I worked with, under, and supervised people from numerous countries and backgrounds, of all races and religions, male and female, all with the same mission focus.

I spent 8 years in law enforcement, patrolling our neighborhoods while its inhabitants slept.

For five years, I drove your children and grandchildren safely to school. Later, I taught them how to safely drive an automobile.

I served your parents and grandparents hot meals through the home-delivered meals program.

I taught your sons and grandsons life-skills through Boy Scouts.

I maintained the beauty of our neighborhoods by picking up roadside trash through the adopt-a-highway program.

It has been said that many people talk the talk; few walk the walk. My life has been one of walking the walk, of doing not just saying, with no expectation of reward or recognition; of serving all members of my community, regardless of race, creed, gender, or age, because it is right to do so.

I know how to lead. I know how to cooperate and follow. I'm not afraid of a confrontation when it's necessary. I believe in the power and the rights of the individual, in a limited government, and in the brilliance of our constitution.
  • We need to hold on to our traditional American values of a market-based economy.
  • I believe in the rights of the individual with very limited government control.
  • I support the value and the power of small-business and main street USA.
Individual rights and responsibility; the power to plot your own course in life and take risks without an overreaching government. I believe in low taxation, in charitable giving, of caring for each other out of choice rather than obligation.
Thomas Jefferson. He penned the beautiful words of the Declaration of Independence concluding with the words: "...with a firm reliance on the protection of divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor." They were taking on the most powerful military on the planet at the time, committing treason against Britain, recognizing the risks and pledging their honor to be there for each other. I can only continue to strive to be like that: always there, regardless of the risk, doing what is right, fighting to the end to protect our citizens and preserve our way of life.
Read the Declaration of Independence. See what the roles of the government and the rights of a free people are.
Honesty, integrity, a determination to care for a represent your constituents.
I know how to lead. I know how to cooperate and follow. I'm not afraid of a confrontation when it's necessary. I believe in the power and the rights of the individual, in a limited government, and in the brilliance of our constitution.
That people see in me integrity and honesty. That people will stand at my graveside and say, "There lies a good man."
Other than paper routes and lawn mowing, my first actual job was as a bus boy, age 15, at Big Boy restaurant in Yakima, Washington. I worked there during the summer between HS school years.
The senate is designed to be the more stately, deliberative body, so they are more able to make the necessary, though possibly unpopular votes, without having to stand for frequent re-election. The House, on the other hand, is directly responsive to the people, so they stand for re-election every two years. The representatives need to constantly answer for their votes directly to their constituents.
I think that previous experience at some level is probably beneficial so that they have some idea how the system works, experience working with other people to get an issue through, and experience with election politics. However, I don't think it's necessary and may even be a detriment. I look at myself not as a politician, but as a citizen who is finally fed up enough to get involved. I believe that when issues concern you, either you stand back and complain or you step up and get involved. I'm of the latter. I get in the fight and work for change.
Our greatest challenge will be to attempt to recover our economy and state budget from the effects of the Corona virus shutdown. We MUST get our business functioning again, and move the economy.
I am retired military. I would like to be part of the Veteran's committee. I'm currently a truck driver. I would also like to be part of the transportation committee.
