Paul Gomez was a 2014 candidate for the Caldwell County Court in Texas.[1] He was previously the Democratic candidate for the Denton County Justice Court (Precinct 6) in 2010.[2]

Gomez ran for election to the Caldwell County Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 27.0 percent of the vote. He competed against Fermin T. Islas and James Bertram.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Gomez faced Islas in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. Gomez was defeated, earning 35.4% of the vote.

Gomez was defeated by Republican Patty Larson in the general election for the Denton County Justice of the Peace Court.[2]
