|I earned my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I moved to Rockford and spent 40 years working at a large aerospace company in Rockford in a variety of technical and managerial roles. I earned a Master of Business Administration from Rockford College and through the course of my career I have had the opportunities to develop my Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving based on the number of technical, procedural and policy issues I faced.
I leaned on my listening capability and the ability to collaborate across different functional areas and perspectives to propose workable solutions. I believe that this quality is important for a legislative office. Illinois is facing some serious issues that cannot be addressed without working together.
Additionally, I have had the opportunity to develop my leadership skills by serving as Chairperson and a number of other roles for the local Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Rock River Valley Chapter.- Illinois needs a balanced budget that does not rely on more taxation.
- Illinois needs to grow it's economy and provide opportunities for our children so that they we do not lose them to other states where they find that opportunity.
- Illinois needs a new direction that includes the legislatures acceptance of the hard decisions ahead.
