Recall supporters
The recall effort was initiated after city workers removed personal items left at gravestones at Oak Hill Cemetary. In response, some residents wanted to see City Administrator Erv Portis fired. Lambert offered support for Portis, saying, "he did his job, he's doing his job." The recall effort began shortly after Lambert declined to fire Portis.[2]
