Noteworthy cases
Wisconsin Elections Commission ordered to remove voter registrations
In November 2019, the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) filed a lawsuit against the Wisconsin Elections Commission on behalf of three plaintiffs.[5] The suit alleged that the Wisconsin Elections Commission must remove voters from the voting roll who are believed to have moved before the planned removal date of 2021. Malloy issued a ruling in favor of the suit in December 2019.[6]
On February 28, 2020, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals District IV overturned Malloy's ruling, preventing the removal of the voter registrations.[7] WILL then appealed the ruling to the Wisconsin Supreme Court for a final decision on the case.[8]
