A vote about whether to recall Paul Mitchell from his position as mayor of Alexander, Arkansas, took place on November 6, 2012.[1] Mitchell was recalled.[2] Alexander, a town of 2,900 residents, is located in Saline County and Pulaski County.
Background
Former Alexander mayor Shirley Johnson alleged that Mitchell had been ineffective in office. More than 259 signatures were certified, and a recall election took place on November 6.[1][3] Mitchell was recalled from office.[2]
