Paul S. Grewal
Paul S. Grewal is a former magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He was appointed in December 2010 to succeed Patrica Trumbull. On May 12, 2016, The Recorder, a subsidiary of ALM Media Properties, LLC, reported that Judge Grewal would leave the bench in June 2016 to join Facebook as the company's vice president and deputy general counsel. According to a report from Courthouse News Service, Judge Grewal retired from the bench on June 3, 2016.[1][2][3]
Education
Grewal received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1996.[1]
Career
After graduating from law school, Grewal clerked for judges of the United States District Court for the District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. After that, he spent his legal career in private practice.[1]
